Required columns: word, part_of_speech, student_definition, chinese_gloss, difficulty, notes.
Curriculum columns: curriculum_level, lesson_number, lesson_position — supply all three and the word is assigned to that lesson as a target word. curriculum_level accepts Lower, Middle, Upper; a lesson is identified by level and number, so Lower 3 and Middle 3 are different lessons.
Other optional columns: target_band, priority, morphology_family, source.
One file may carry many lessons. Existing words are reused, never overwritten, and a word may be introduced as a target word only once within a curriculum level.
